Why Are Cats Associated With Lonely Single Girls?

I've never understood this, what do cats have to do with single women?

Because they are so lonely, and unfamiler with the whole dating thing, that cats are they only thing they can get company out of?


I really have no idea.

Are they? I never knew that.

I don't know maybe its because are lower maintenance than dogs

As a child I was told that "Old Maids" always had a cat about the house to catch mice for them as they didn't have a husband to kill the mice.

Maybe that is where the connection to single girls and cats came from?

I like cats.
I had them when I was single and I had them when I was married.
Low maintenance but they are around when you want company.

I have never herd of that, i did get my cat b4 i met my husband but i was forced into getting him as my pals cat had kittens and she said i must have one, im so glad i did we totaly love him too bits, and he's so loveable

I dunno, could be something to do with unmarried women being witches

Anyways cats are pretty good company without the dependency of a dog and I treat my cat like a baby

My cats provide nice company when all my friends are out with their boyfriends or girlfriends
