I LOVE Juliana Theory, Taking Back Sunday and Brand New and Thursday and the Used. I do like some more mainstream stuff too that's not all strictly emo. I like Jack Johnson, I still like Dashboard, Jimmy Eat World (the older stuff is the best), A Perfect Circle, Ingrahm Hill (little known blues type soft rock band from Memphis). I like Story of the Year and Starkz, Hap~Hazard sucks, a few songs from Lucky Boys Confusion are on my likes list. That's just to name the ones that stick out the most in my head!!! :D

I forgot Dave Matthews. Each band I named, I have at least one of their CD's. My quote is from Jack Johnson. I love his surf-type music. I dunno, I listen to a lot of music from those genres. I hate Linkin Park, I don't care as much for Evanescence or however you spell it. They are ok I guess. I'm pretty picky about my music. There's songs/bands that doesn't fit in the typical emo genre because of the guitar riffs or drumlines, but the lyrics are still emo-in-nature and I love that stuff. I.E. APC & Ingrahm Hill & Jack Johnson. I'm very passionate about music.

I've never heard of any of those bands. I used to date a guy that worked at Hot Topic, and that's how I learned about most of the underground bands and the ones that weren't all maintstream. Now that he doesn't work there and I don't date him, its hard for me to learn about new bands!!! I would readily accept any recomendations (sp?) on some bada$$ bands.

I like A Perfect Circle and Tool. If you guys like Dave Matthews, then you should check out my cousins band that is out of Fayetteville. The name of it is B-Side. Check them out on the web at www.b-sidefolkunion.com

See! This site topic is already great (at least for me) because I am learning of new bands!! That freakin rocks. Any suggestions for some bada$$ local or semi-local bands to listen to would be great. I always love discovering a new band that's freakin awesome. Have ya'll ever heard of Deja Vodoo? They are more of a blues-type cover band but they freaking rock. I've grown up with their new guitarist, Seth, and he is amazingly talented. People are always in awe of him. Anyways, any other recommendations for locals?

Yeah Wake the Dawn is good. They are playing at the Kappa Sigma frat party "Crawfish" in May. They are a good band. Lick plays some of their music.
